    The Publication Gap

Rejection Is Rarely About Your Science. It Is About Presentation.

Editors and referees at the better journals are buried in submissions. Papers are turned down because the methodology is underreported, the analysis lacks rigour, the claim is unclear, or the work does not fit the journal it was sent to — not because the science was weak.

That gap is presentational, and it is closable. Our experts are not editors who read about research; they are active researchers who referee for these journals, so they know what the report is going to say before it is written.

What we put right before it is sent

    • IMRaD structure — introduction, methods, results and discussion, rebuilt so the contribution is visible in the first paragraph
    • Reporting guidelines met and the checklist completed — CONSORT, STROBE, PRISMA, ARRIVE
    • Journal-specific formatting in the style the title actually uses — APA, AMA, Vancouver, Chicago
    • Plagiarism and ethics screened against COPE and ICMJE before anyone else sees it

    Why We Are Different

You Deserve Experts Who Have Walked The Path

Most editing services hire freelancers with a general English degree. anyPhD is a network of working PhDs, each with a publication record you can open and read. We understand your research because we do research.

Every expert hands over a Google Scholar link and a publication history before they are let near a manuscript, and each profile is checked by hand — not degree-holders, but people still contributing to the field.

    • PhD-level subject-matter expertise in your exact discipline
    • Google Scholar profiles you can open, with the citation record on them
    • Active journal referees who know what an editor is looking for
    • The same academic background — we have stood where you are standing

    AI Detection

The AI Detection Trap, And How We Protect Your Manuscript

Journals have begun using AI detection tools — Turnitin, GPTZero, Copyleaks — to flag manuscripts that may have been written or heavily assisted by AI. The problem is that these tools are far from perfect. Legitimate, human-written papers are being rejected simply because their writing patterns trigger a false positive, especially when the author is a non-native English speaker, uses a grammar tool, or writes in a highly structured style.

    Non-native English

AI detectors often flag non-native English as “AI-like”, because it follows predictable patterns.

    Grammar tools

Using AI for grammar or translation can leave subtle footprints that detectors pick up.

    Original work

Even entirely original work can be flagged, leading to desk rejection or accusations of misconduct.

    Proving it is yours

Once flagged, you may be asked to prove your writing is human — a stressful, time-consuming process.

The guidelines say yes. Getting there is not straightforward.

    • Most journals now allow AI help as long as you declare it. Almost none of them make it simple.
    • Every journal draws the line somewhere different, and the one you are submitting to can be stricter than the publisher above it.
    • The policy and the detector are two separate systems. A journal can allow declared help and still flag your paper.
    • Declaring it is the honest thing to do — and it can still invite a closer look than a paper that says nothing.

    Our solution

Every manuscript is refined by human PhD experts who have published in top journals. We do not use AI to write, edit or “polish” your paper. We apply our own academic experience instead, so your prose reads naturally, fluently and authentically, which is what removes the “AI tell” that triggers false positives. Our editors understand the nuances of academic voice, and your manuscript will sound like it was written by a thoughtful researcher — because it was.

Your work deserves to be judged on its science, not on an algorithm’s false alarm.

    What Corresponding Authors Say

Two desk rejections before we came here. Nobody rewrote our paper — they showed us that the claim in the abstract was bigger than the data could carry. We narrowed it, and the third submission went out to review.

Reviewer 2 wanted a mixed-effects model we had never fitted. Their statistician fitted it, documented it, and wrote the paragraph explaining why our original analysis was not wrong, only less informative. The revision was accepted with minor changes.

PRISMA 2020, a PROSPERO registration and a search strategy our librarian signed off without a single change. The editor’s first line was that the methods were unusually clear.
