What we take on, what we will not do, and what each side is responsible for.
anyPhD, operated by AnyPhD, is a network of specialists who each hold a doctorate in their field. We read what you need, match you to the right person, and support the work that follows. Using this website, or sending us an enquiry through it, means you accept the terms on this page.
The experts are independent professionals rather than our employees. We select them, verify them and stand behind the introduction; the specialist judgement in any piece of work is theirs, exercised in their own field.
This is the part we are strictest about, and it is set out in full on Our Commitment. In summary, nobody working through this network will write an assignment, examination or thesis for you to submit as your own unaided work, sit an assessment or interview in your place, fabricate or selectively report data, invent citations, or produce an opinion designed to reach a conclusion the evidence does not support.
Everything we do is meant to be describable, without embarrassment, to your supervisor, your funder, your ethics board or your regulator. If a request crosses that line we will say so and decline it, and we would rather lose the work than argue about it.
An enquiry is an enquiry. It is free, it commits neither side, and it does not create a contract. What follows it is a scoping conversation, also free, which ends in an honest answer about whether we can help and who the right person would be.
If you decide to go ahead, the scope, the deliverables, the timetable and the fee are agreed in writing before work starts. Those written terms govern that project; where they say something different from this page, they win. No fee is payable until you have agreed one, and this website quotes no prices because no two projects are alike.
Everything you send is kept confidential and is never shared with anyone else. It is read by our own team, and by one expert once you have agreed to them, under a written confidentiality obligation. We will sign your NDA before you send anything sensitive if you would rather have one in place first. The privacy policy explains what happens to your details in more detail.
You keep the copyright and the authorship in everything you send us. Nothing is shown to another client, written up as an example, or used to train anything without your permission. Where a project produces something new — a report, a model, an analysis — who owns it is settled in the written terms for that project, and by default it is you.
The text, artwork and design of this website belong to us. Quote us, link to us, cite us; do not copy the site.
Applying does not entitle anyone to join. We verify the qualification, the publication record and the practical experience, and we turn down applications that do not stand up — including those we cannot verify. Tell us the truth about your credentials; a claim we cannot confirm ends the application.
Joining the network is not employment and guarantees no volume of work. Experts take on projects they choose to take on, are bound by confidentiality, and are held to the same limits on academic integrity as everyone else here.
We can promise that the person you work with holds the qualification we say they hold, that they will give you their honest professional judgement, and that we will tell you plainly when we think you are heading the wrong way.
We cannot promise an outcome, and neither can anybody else. A journal decision belongs to its editor and its reviewers. A grade belongs to your examiner. An approval belongs to the regulator. A grant belongs to the panel. Advice, analysis and editing improve your chances; they do not decide the result, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling something.
What you receive is professional support for your own work and your own decisions. It is not a substitute for legal, medical, financial or regulatory advice from someone you have retained for that purpose, and the responsibility for what you finally submit, publish or decide remains yours.
Tell us early, at hello@anyphd.com, and tell us plainly. Most problems are a misunderstanding about scope and are fixed in a day. If work has genuinely fallen short we will put it right, and where that is not possible we will discuss the fee for it. We would rather hear a complaint than lose your confidence quietly.
Neither side is liable to the other for losses it could not reasonably have seen coming, and our liability for any project is limited to the fees paid for that project. Nothing here limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit — including for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Either side may end a project in writing. You pay for work properly done up to that point, and we return what is yours.
We keep this website accurate and available, but we do not guarantee it will never be down or never contain a mistake. Pages describing our practices are a description of how we work, not a warranty about any particular project. We may change these terms; the date at the top of the page changes when we do, and the version in force is the one published when your project was agreed.
These terms are governed by the law of the United Arab Emirates, and the courts there have jurisdiction over any dispute we cannot settle between us. Before it comes to that, write to us: we have never yet preferred a lawyer to a conversation.
Leave an email or a WhatsApp number — whichever you prefer — and tick how we should reach you. We reach out within 30 minutes.
